What you will learn during the trial course

Introduction & safety

Your first kitesurfing lesson takes place on land. We explain the essential fundamentals of kitesurfing and cover all relevant safety aspects. You will get to know the equipment, set up the kite together with your instructor and learn about the wind window.

Controlling the kite

Once you are familiar with the setup, safety systems and wind, it is time to learn the basics of kite steering. With the support of your instructor, you will practise flying the kite in a controlled manner. First on land, then in the water.

Fun in the water

We’ll continue your progression in the water. You’ll learn to body drag using the power of the kite, practise safe kite relaunches, and gain the confidence needed to control the kite with ease. Our goal is to help you progress safely, have fun, and enjoy every step of your kitesurfing journey at your own pace.

Group size, times and duration of the trial course

We mainly offer the Beginner Trial Course as one-to-one private instruction. If two people with a similar level and body weight start at the same time, one instructor may teach both participants in a semi-private lesson.

  • Course times: from 1 pm, with sessions lasting 2–3 hours per student
  • Duration of private instruction: 3 hours
  • Duration of semi-private instruction: 4 hours

During the Beginner Course, you will improve your kite control, gain more experience in the water and work step by step towards riding your first metres on the board.

Alternatively, depending on your progress, you can book additional private lessons.

As always, you only pay for the lessons that actually take place. If there is no wind, you will not be charged for lessons that cannot be completed.
